Specializations

I offer therapy for a diverse range of people and difficulties, but I’m especially effective with certain populations & clinical issues.

Populations & Clinical Concerns

Spiritual Emergence/y

Openings to experiences which feel too big to integrate can be overwhelming. I will take your experience and process seriously while assisting with structure, grounding, and containment.

Queer & Trans Clients (& Questioning)

As a queer, trans therapist, I have a depth of lived experience from both my own life and my community. I hold big, expansive, courageous space for curiosity and exploration around gender and sexuality. I am secure in who I am, even as my own process continues to unfold and surprise me, and I can help you get there, too.

dissociation

Dissociation can appear as numbness & disconnection from the body, a sense of unreality, or dis-integrated aspects of self . We can honor dissociation as a powerful self-preservation strategy while building safety & capacity for contacting & re-integrating what has been excluded.

Relational Trauma/Cptsd

What is lost in relationship can only be recovered in relationship. Trauma is a site of wounding, but I’m interested in what people do with their trauma, not just the ways they are subject to it. By making sense of the way you are now, we create enough safety to try new ways of being with yourself and with others.

Nerds, Techies, Rationalists

If you’re using machine learning metaphors for your mental-emotional processes, if you have no idea where to start with “where do you feel that in your body?”, I can help you bridge that gap — it’s a journey I’ve made myself.

Psychiatry-critical

If you’ve had experiences with mental healthcare which were actively harmful, invalidating, or even traumatic, my respectful and agency-affirming style might be a good fit.

“Meaning emerges from engagement with the world, not from abstract contemplation of it.”
